Decent read, not in the same league as books 1 and 4, but better than I expected. Sadly most of the people in this book are idiots who can't think beyond their own needs. Personally I lost some interest when MMA was such a prominent stage, but it fit the characters personalities. No one in this book is normal, they all need serious therapy.Having said that, I did not give up on reading it and if you read book 4 (Just one moment), you will gain further insight to the characters from this one.

Just One Regret Just One Song Book 3 edition by Stacey Lynn Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I had so many emotions reading their story. I liked that they came from nothing, had abusive family's and made something of themselves. Then a chance meeting, old fire rekindled. Then they worked on getting their lives back together and overcome the past the secrets kept, the forgiveness they owed each other, to come out strong and have their happy ever after. You need tissue for some parts of this book. It was a good book.
I just love to pick up a Stacey Lynn book. I know I'll always get the perfect mix of emotion that makes her writing so special. There's always a little sadness followed by a little hope that makes romance fantastic! Her characters are always relatable and make me cheer for them from page one. She Nevers gets to worry or lengthy in her writing. Plus, it never feels rushed when I get to the end. Thai has been a wonderful series to read and I can't wait to start on book 4!
Ok first I really liked this book it is a awesome fast read for sure. I do not want to give away to much but only had one problem. I loved all the characters they were great friends. I just wish Kennedy was a little stronger. I know what she did was messed up but she had good reason. I wanted Grayson to take more ownership he did walk away after all. And she did try to reach him .In the end he was awesome for sure. But sometimes we just have to own it. I would recommend this book a lot of emotions went into this I love this author and will read more from her.
This is the type of book that will make you feel like you are right there beside of the characters cheering them on to their HEA. This is a second chance story for Kennedy and Grayson. Grayson broke Kennedy's heart 6 years ago, but after he sees her again he wants to mend it. They share such a horrible childhood. My heart shredded for Kennedy throughout this book. I felt every emotion that she did. I just wanted to give her a big hug. The subject matter really touched my heart. It is an emotional read that many young couples will relate to. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
Emotionally this book was all over the map, happy, sad, angry, hopeful, depressing... Stacey Lynn did an amazing job showing the gambit of emotions these characters experienced. From the first chapter where Sarah and Kennedy are going to the fight, Grayson pulling them out of the stands... could not put this down. I teared up at the climax of the Thad storyline, and loved the HEA epilogue. Without spoiling the entire book, Kennedy and Grayson were best friends who had a single night of passion. When Kennedy declared her feelings the next morning, Grayson left her. Six years later she's taken to see one of his MMA fights and he pulls her and her best friend Sarah out of the crowd, literally. Grayson claims he always loved Kennedy but never thought he was worthy... So he left. The raw emotion (hate, love, love - hate in some cases) between these two as secrets are bared is real and relatable. Amazing book, will definitely be looking at this author's catalogue for more reads
3.5 stars
I wanted to love this story; I love second chance romances but I just couldn't connect with the story.
Grayson and Kennedy grew up together and they both came from abusive homes which made their bond stronger, but one night the line of friends and lovers is crossed leaving Kennedy alone and Grayson broken. A few years later Grayson and Kennedy met again and this time Grayson wants to keep Kennedy, but so much time has passed and so much has happened in his absence; can they find the connection they always had or will past actions dictate their future?
Spoilers below (major spoilers!)
Ok I had major problem with Grayson and his holier-than-thou attitude. Kennedy and Grayson have sex and Grayson completely disappears from her life; leaving Kennedy pregnant and alone. Once she finds out she is pregnant the poor girl (barely 21 years old) does everything she can think of to find him but he continues to ignore her and not answer her. So she makes the decision that is best for her and the baby then when Grayson deems it ok for them to be together again he loses his mind over what she did. Kennedy had no money and came from a abusive home and Grayson abandoned her yet she is portrayed as the horrible person who took his child away and never gave him a chance. I'm sorry I couldn't hate her for making a very difficult decision that gave her baby what he needed to be loved and safe. Grayson was an a** and I didn't care that he tried to redeem himself.
I've enjoyed all of the books in this series but this one took some time for me to warm up to it.
Kennedy is an MMA fan and, as a gift, her best friend takes her to a fight. Unbeknownst to her, the reason she watches is because her ex-love, Grayson, is a champ abs she likes to cheer...against him! They knew each other as kids and he walked out of her life 6 years ago and she hasn't heard from him since.
Grayson can't believe it when he sees Kennedy at his fight. He's wondered how she's been and wants the chance to reconnect. Kennedy wants nothing to do with him as she doesn't trust he won't walk, especially once she shares her secret.
The frustrations come once the secret is revealed. She accepts too much of the blame while Grayson accepts none. All he wants to do is mane her feel horrible and she allows it. Now, if I was in her place and had a 6 year secret, what would I do? I'm not sure but I'd really like to believe that dude would at least get a cussing out or 2!
Anywho, once Grayson stops being an ass, the story gets much more enjoyable and you begin to root for their success. And the bonus is I got to know a bit more about Sarah (the best friend) as I vividly remember her involvement in the first book.
Decent read, not in the same league as books 1 and 4, but better than I expected. Sadly most of the people in this book are idiots who can't think beyond their own needs. Personally I lost some interest when MMA was such a prominent stage, but it fit the characters personalities. No one in this book is normal, they all need serious therapy.
